New Awakening Recovery Services, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, located in Birmingham, AL/Jefferson County. The mission of New Awakening Recovery Services is to provide education, guidance and support services to recovering women in healthy, sober living environments, while conducting outreach services community-wide. Our goal for the sober living program is to utilize a holistic recovery support model conducive to the residents’ mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and financial recovery.

New Awakening provides recovery support services to women veterans, women experiencing homelessness, domestic/sexual assault survivors who also have a co-occurring substance use disorder. While we have a special emphasis on providing services to women, we also provide recovery services and referrals to any individual in the community who needs help and resources.
